Evidence before capital

Good tools don't make your decisions. They show you what the decision rests on.

Why validation first

Most trading tools are built for excitement: faster feeds, more indicators, someone else's signals. What they rarely help with is the uncomfortable question that decides outcomes — does this idea actually hold up? The rigor that answers it — cost modeling, out-of-sample testing, reproducible results — has mostly lived inside institutional quant stacks, behind a wall of engineering.

TideView exists to close that gap. One workspace runs the whole loop: import a Pine script or describe a rule in plain English, backtest it with fees and slippage, validate it walk-forward, replay the trades that decided the result, and keep a report you can rerun. No development environment required — and no step of the verification skipped because it was tedious.

We hold the same line on AI. TideView's assistant explains what a strategy really does, flags fragile assumptions, and organizes evidence against your idea as carefully as evidence for it. It never says buy or sell. The person who presses the button is always you.

What we will and won't do

We will model costs honestly, keep in-sample and out-of-sample results separate, and make every conclusion rerunnable. We won't pick stocks, sell signals, promise returns, or trade for you. TideView is research software — the analysis is ours to make rigorous, and the judgment stays yours.

TideView is research and analysis software. Nothing on this site is investment advice, and past or simulated performance never guarantees future results.
